He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Hayes, Sr. and Dorothy L. Dubois Hayes; and his son John Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Stookey Hayes; his children, Jonathan Brady (Pamela) of Moncks Corner and Laura Osborne (Dale) of Hollywood; and his brother George Hayes.
