She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen Barton (Beatrice) and Charlie Reid; her son Timothy; and her former husband Virgil. She is survived by: her husband Navy; her children, Edna Ellis Reid of Columbia, MD, Susan Ellis (Julie Wright) of Goose Creek, Patricia Ellis Rudy (Bryan) of Goose Creek and Bob Ellis (Connie) of Goose Creek; and her grandchildren, Kaitlin, Patrick, Lauren, Brandon and Jordan.
