Richard Franklin Hegwood Sr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Franklin Hegwood Sr. of Goose Creek, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Dodds Hegwood and Edith Hazel McAlhany Hegwood; and his sister Barbara Mosier. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Elizabeth Hegwood; his children, Nancy Hegwood of Rockhill, SC, Richard "Rick" F. Hegwood Jr. (Jonette) of North Charleston, SC and Kenneth R. Hegwood (Patty) of Goose Creek, SC.; his grandchildren, Heather Hegwood, April Hegwood, Ricky Hegwood (Eva) and Ian Hegwood (Susie); his great grandchildren, River Hegwood, BayWren and Daxton Hegwood; and his sisters, Catherine Kemmerer and Esther Gaskins (Rodney). He is also survived by his family and countless friends.
