He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Lea Hanson Shelton and James Berry Shelton; and his son Michael Roy Shelton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jean Blackwell Shelton of Goose Creek, SC; his children, Micki Shelton of Wichita Falls, TX, Edward "Bari" Shelton (Wendy) of Greensboro, NC and Angela Shillinglaw (Ormand); his sister Joyce Turbeville of Fayetteville, NC; and his grandchildren, Caleb Shelton, Wyatt Dangerfield, Waylon Dangerfield, Maddox Shelton, Presley Shelton, McKinlee Shillinglaw and Layne Michael Shillinglaw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be directed to the church.
