She was predeceased by: her parents, James Easterling and Lurie Easterling; her husband James W. Elrod; her son Perry "Pee Wee" Elrod; her grandson Allen Barnette; and her siblings, Louise Taylor, Emma Dale Hyder, Thelma Evans, Billy Chinn and Herbert Mile Easterling.
She is survived by: her children, James W. Elrod, Jr. of Goose Creek and Sherrie Taylor Cockerham (Keenan) of Moncks Corner; her grandchildren, James "Trey" Elrod, III (Dena) of Summerville, Ashley Lloyd (David) of Bonneau, Randy Woods (Megan) of St. Croix, Jimmy and Karen; her great grandchildren, Nicole, Haley, Jake, Cameron and Jaden; and her daughters-in-law, Susan Elrod of Goose Creek and Connie Elrod of Summerville.
