With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Katherine Virginia Nelson of Goose Creek, South Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Katherine Virginia left this world on December 26, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Smith and Beulah Smith (Calhoun); her husband William Daniel Nelson; her son William Daniel Nelson; and her siblings, Conway, Bill, Richard, Rebecca and Mary.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kaye Nelson-Walski (Barry) of Mt. Airy, MD, Kathy Bertolini (David) of Monks Corner, SC and Jacqueline Nelson of Elkins, WV. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Circleville Presbyterian Church or St. James United Methodist Church.
