With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Leonard Pirt of Goose Creek, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Rush Pirt and George Pirt; and his siblings, George Pirt, Jerry Pirt, Grace Glagola, Sarah Parsons, Betty Flick, Patricia Dunseath and Donna Frisco.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Pirt; his daughters, Lori Pirt and Sarah Eason; and his sisters, Mary Jane Black, Hannah Steven, Martha Cumashot, Roberta Dugan and Wanda Williams.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (869 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Carnes Crossroads Church of God (1341 State Rd, Summerville, SC 29486).
