He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Douglas Reimer and Mary Josephine Rodewald Newcomb; his daughters, Sandra Jean Infinger-Bennett (Rob) of Johns Island, SC, Glenda Faye Dame (Greg) of Goose Creek, SC and Susan Jean Parker; his brother Tommy Newcomb; his grandchildren, Joseph Parker, Stephen Parker, Tiffany Dame, Gregory Dame, Dillon Infinger and Dalton Infinger; and his wife Shirley Jean Reimer. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
