He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence "June" Stoots and George "Kenneth" Stoots; and his brother Lanny Stoots of Bristol Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Jan Garris Stoots; his children, Lindsay Ball (Aaron) and Brandon Stoots (Marissa); his sister Patty Lauzon (Pete); his grandchildren, James, Victoria Ball and Baby Boy Stoots; his nieces, Autumn Lauzon (John), Emerald Lord (Burke), Kacy Fleming (Kent) and Mindi Stoots; and his great-niece Bristol Lord.
