She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Dewey Powell and Maggie Jane Jordan Powell; and her siblings, Christine Powers, Thelma Powell, Frances Lee Marlowe, Velma Criddle, Laura Mae Skipper, J. C. Powell, Ernest Donald Powell, Clyde Powell, Billy Joe Powell and H. W. Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Dale J. Smith of Lebanon, James Nelson Alford (Sonia) of Beaver Dam and Thomas A. Alford (Joan) of Beaver Dam. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
