He is survived by: his wife Anita Louise Bennett-Hope (Curry); his children, Gordon Hope, III (Robin), David A Bennett, Jr. (Tiffany), Edward T Bennett (Catrina), Eva Hope, Loretha Meyer (Craig) and Charlotte Herriott (Michael); his grandchildren, Faith Hope, Brad Gavin, Kaitlyn Bennett, Amber Bennett, Sarah Bennett, Hannah Booth Fischer, Lilly Christensen, Edward Bennett, Jr., Kathryn Bennett, Payson Bennett, Khane Bennett, Madison Meyer, Owen Meyer, Mollie Meyer, Tiffany of Washington and Jasmine Hobson; his great grandchildren, Jada of Washington, Jayona of Washington, Zamaria Collins, Kynedi Thomas and Ashton Bennett; and his brother-in-law Alfred Guglielmo.
