He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Mansfield Showers and Annabeth Voss. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Jane Tyler Showers; and his sons, Michael Andrew Showers, Timothy Mansfield Showers and Tyler Voss Showers.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr West Ashley Chapel (3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
