He is survived by: his parents, Charles Raymond Olds, Sr. and Grace "Buddy" Willson Olds; his wife Betty Jo Coker Olds; his son Councilman B. Todd Olds (Connie) of North Charleston; his sisters, Emily O. Bailey of Summerville and Sherry Lemmon (Wayne) of Summerville; his grandchildren, Charles Covington Olds, Whitney Ashton O. Mitchell (Roy) and Olivia Petrucci; his great grandchildren, Kipton Phillips, Tinley Phillips, Cade Phillips, Ava Mitchell and Brice Mitchell; his nieces, Ashley and Amber; and his pet Zero.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the City of North Charleston Miracle League Fund, P.O. Box 190016, North Charleston, SC 29419-9016, in honor of Covington Olds, his special needs grandson.
