He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Hoyt Griffin and Nora Bennett Poston; his son Gary "Dennie" Griffin; and his brother Hoyt "Sonny" Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Gladys F. Griffin; his stepsons, Leslie "John" Poston (Michelle) and Brian C. Poston (Candy); and his granddaughters, McKenna Vae Griffin, Emily C. Poston, Leslie M. Poston, Kandi Poston, Leigh Talley, Amber Dupre and Siera Matherne. He is also survived by his great grandsons and many nieces.
