He is survived by: his wife Lynn Mellis; his sister Ramira Mellis; his son Paul Anthony Mellis; and his stepchildren, MeLynda Culbertson, Matthew Paddock and Carrie Nesbitt. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great grandchildren.
