He is survived by: his parents, Leland B. Powers Jr. and Pamela Hill Turner; his wife Patricia Parker Powers; his stepfather David Turner; his children, Amber Hughes, Donald Hughes, Brittany Powers, Harley Powers and Broughton Powers; his grandparents, JoAnn, Leland Powers, Frances and Larry Husky; and his pets, Sparrow and Xena. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
