He was predeceased by: his parents, Watson Elno and Betty Lou Bouknight Smith. He is survived by: his wife Christine Gunter Smith; his children, Louise Stevens (Jimmy) and Joseph Eugene Smith (Nikki); his grandchildren, Ashly Coulter (Jeff) and Steven Dennis; and his great grandchildren, Marissa, Justin Coulter, Bella and Anthony Dennis.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (533 Hayride Rd, Gilbert, SC 29054). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the same location.
