He was predeceased by: his mother Beulah Long Carson; and his brother Robert Earl Carson. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Carson; his children, Paige C. Covington, Michael D. Carson (Roxann) and Bree C. Cox (Simon); his grandchildren, Brittany Bell (Zack), Carson Bedenbaugh (Colton), Heather Patterson (Jeremy), Kellie Munsch (Brad), Nichole Carson, Lance Carson, Amelia Cox, Porter Cox and Beckett Cox; his great grandchildren, Capers Bell, Riggins Bell, Gunter Bedenbaugh, Holden Bedenbaugh, Maizie Bedenbaugh, Lachlan Patterson, Zelda Patterson, Callum Patterson, Tanner Munsch and Titus Munsch; and his siblings, Carroll D. Carson (Nancy) and Amelia J. Carson (Karen).
