She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Trotter Stewart and Wylie B. Trotter; her former husband Vernon Harsey; her husband Bill Porter; and her siblings, Juanita Looper, Wylie "Junior", Ray, Kent, Roger, Frank and Trotter.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon H. Wright (Alvin) of Gilbert, Vonda H. Jenkins (Walter) of Lexington and Randy Harsey of Lexington; her daughter-in-law Susan Harsey Mincey (Porter); her grandchildren, Lacy H. Melvin (Wes), Hunter Wright, Miki W. Keisler (Brian), Kayela Green (Jay) and Graham Jenkins; and her great grandchildren, Cole, Molly Kate, Leia, Lilo, Loralei, Isabella and Maddox. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pope Funeral Home (521 S Congress St, Winnsboro, SC 29180). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Gilbert United Methodist Church (510 Main St, Gilbert, SC 29054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Generations Assisted Living Facility of Batesburg, SC to assist in rebuilding from a recent fire, Gilbert United Methodist Church, or Gerry's favorite charity St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
