He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Ligon Taylor and Alva Dunbar Taylor of Gilbert; his siblings, Lois T. Shealy (Gillis) and Eugene Taylor (Evelyn); and his brother-in-law Bill Wilkins.
He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Price Taylor; his sons, Edwin "Eddie" Dean (Mary Kay) and Scott Samuel Taylor (Tracy); his grandchildren, Matthew Taylor (Sara), James Taylor (Susanne), Steven Taylor (Brooke) and Morgan Taylor; his great grandchildren, Banks, Raylan, Ella, Wake and Kinley; and his sister Vernell T. Wilkins of Cowpens, SC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
