He was predeceased by: his parents, Stacy O'Neil and Ophelia Timmons Birchmore; and his siblings, Stacy Jr., Wayne and Sandra Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smith Birchmore; his children, Shannon Birchmore (Angela), Greg Hartley (Jennifer) and Wendy Hartley; his grandchildren, Chris (Brittany), Haley (David), Kayla, Josh (Kelsey), Andrew, Bryana (Zack) and Gatlin; and his great grandchildren, Faith, Noah, Madison, Nash, Bryson, Hunter and Zayden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Gilbert, Men's and Women's Mission Fund, 441 Lewis Street, Gilbert, SC 29054.
