He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Nettles and Margaret Nettles (Wilkes); his daughter Virginia Nanette "Nan" Nettles; his brother Wyan Nettles; and his stepdaughter Taylor Leigh Flowers.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Carter "Ginny" Nettles; his son Wyatt "Clay" Nettles, Jr. (Kathy Spring) of Scranton; his grandchildren, Wyatt Clay "Trey" Nettles, III (Laney) of Lake City and Margaret Elizabeth "Liza" Nettles Howard (Ryan) of Coward; his great grandchildren, Joseph Howell, Elizabeth Howell and Stanley "Camden" Nettles; his brother Wade Nettles of Port St; and his friend Fido.
