We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2023, at the age of 90, Walter Eugene Wilder Sr. (Georgetown, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Benjamin Wilder and Nell Blakley Wilder; and his siblings, Benjamin Henry (Wilder), Cecil Raymond Wilder and Margaret Alice Wilder Mitchum.

He is survived by: his children, Betty W. Newton (Jerry) of Andrews, Walter E. "Gene" Wilder, Jr. of Andrews, David B. Wilder of Andrews and Sandra W. Smith (Don) of Andrews; and his sister-in-law Florence Wilder. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
