She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Joseph Kurtis Hewitt; her parents, James Clarance Martin and Vivian Anna Barnhill Martin; and her siblings, Sue Stearns and Gene Martin.
She is survived by: her sons, Elvin Stanley (Lori) of Conway and John Stanley; and her sisters, Kathy Martin of Pendleton, Karen Ackerman (Bob) of Georgetown and Gail Player of Georgetown. She is also survived by three grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Graves Southern Baptist Church (44 Vine Ct, Georgetown, SC 29440). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at the Sampit United Methodist Church Cemetery (1125 Saints Delight Rd, Georgetown, SC 29440).
