He is survived by: his wife Anna Rion (Perry); his sons, Samuel Weir Rion III (Merri Jo) of Georgetown and Herbert Wilhelm Rion (Wil) of Ashville, NC.; his adoptive daughter Mia Eckerling; his granddaughter Avery Rion; his siblings, Angie Bunn (Joey), Julie Rion, Jerry Rion (Judy) and Jim Rion (Sarah); his parents-in-law, Durward and Lolly Perry; and his sister-in-law Sandra Perry.
