He was predeceased by: his parents, Ocie Dantzler Gunter and Inez Hiott Gunter; and his sister Wanda Gunter Rowland. He is survived by: his wife Diane P. Moore; his children, Tracie Gunter Bowe (Michael) of Irmo, SC and Mitchell Gunter of Georgetown, SC; his grandsons, Alex and Christopher Bowe; his stepsons, Al Moore (Jennifer) of Savannah, GA, Chris Moore (Lindsay) of Georgetown and Jeff Moore of Statesboro, GA; his stepgrandchildren, Allen Moore III, Maggie Moore, Henry Moore, Harper Moore, Price Moore, Mac Moore and Ashby Moore; and his brother Timothy Ocie Gunter (Robin) of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
