He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hopson Martin and Frances Creel Martin of Virginia; and his siblings, Dena Adams, Edward Martin, Terry Martin, Willie Martin and John Russell Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Mackey Martin; his children, Richard Eric Martin (Marsha) of Jacksonville, FL and Heather Danielle Martin Smith (Hoyt) of Georgetown; and his grandchildren, Jake Martin, Lauren Smith, Luke Martin and Ethan Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
