He is survived by: his wife Dr. Kathleen Broughan; his sons, Nick Jr. of Charleston, SC and John of Hendersonville, NC; and his grandsons, Nicholas Woodfin Ill (Woods) and Alexander (Xan) of Charleston, SC.. He is also survived by dogs and horses.
