He is survived by: his spouse Lessie Mae Thomas McCants; his grandchildren, Joni Cribb Grant (Shannon), Carmen Cribb Roberts (Mark), John Deryl McCants, Jr. (Lauren "Linda") and Brandon McCants (Lauren "Arnie"); and his great grandchildren, Bevan Ashley Grant and Beckett Thomas Grant.
