She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Barnhill Hyman and Bright Hyman; her husbands, Bowman T. Childers and Jasper Cox; her daughters, Geraldine Childers and Deniese Childers; her son-in-law Larry Cox; her stepchildren, John Cox, Dorothy Carnes and Ernestine Bauer; and her siblings, Edwin Hyman, John Henry Hyman, J. W. Hyman, Larry Hyman, Doris Lewis, Sarah Davis and Maggie Lewis (Cecil Todd).

She is survived by: her children, Linda Cox Ziglar (Bobby), Bowman R. Childers (Peggy), Tracy L. Childers (Jennifer), Deborah Westbrooks, Wanda Collins (Ronnie) and Dianne Brazen (Barry); her stepdaughter Dale Persutti; her stepchildren-in-law, Ann Cox, Butch Bauer and Rudy Carnes; and her grandchildren, Robin Cox Nelson, Terri Ziglar Miles, Sherri Ziglar Bradford, Larry Daryl Cox, Deanna Cox Chaney, Bowman D. Childers, April Childers, Rodney Childers, English Childers Cribb, Anna Adkins Stalnaker, Brandon Adkins, Brien Adkins, Michelle Collins Farnum, Heather Collins Lalor, Shron Martin Estelle, Ronnie Moore, Kim Rogers, Ginger Hathcock, Tammy Weaver, Jeff Cox, Robbie Cox and Pam Jacobs. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
