She was predeceased by: her husband John Taylor "JT" McCants; her parents, Tom Thurlo Thomas and Sara Edith Thomas; her siblings, Daniel Thomas, Steve Thomas, Sara "Toby" Newton, Peggy Eaddy, Doris Harrington, Dorothy Poston and Margie Lee; and her great grandchild Evan Taylor Grant.

She is survived by: her children, Beth Cribb (Charles) and Deryl McCants (Becky) of Georgetown.
