It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lenora Hambrick Sherrill of Georgetown, South Carolina, born in Eastman, Georgia, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Willard Singleton Hambrick; her husband Allen Merrick Sherrill; her daughter Terrie Sherrill Vail; and her brothers, Jack Hambrick, Leland Hambrick, Sgt James Hambrick and Johnny Hambrick.

She is survived by: her son Dr. Ted Allen Sherrill (Ann) of Georgetown, SC; her grandchildren, Kathryn Vail Post (Chris) of Seattle, Washington, John Sherrill and Jennifer Sherrill Holly (Robert) of Houston, Texas; and her great grandchildren, Violet Holly, Wells Holly and Xander Holly.

“I was blessed to know Lenora and Allen for few years when I moved into a house near their home in North Charleston, I was stranger yet they treated me so well. Lenora helped me warm up my car regularly while I was out of town, offered rides picking me up from hospital, etc. I enjoyed spending time with Allen watching baseball and releasing squirrels he caught. For me it was like visiting my grandparents, both Allen and Lenora were true Christians that lived their faith in actions. Jesse Martin”
