He was predeceased by: his parents, John Van Whitlock and Beulah Wills Whitlock; and his daughter Anita Beth Whitlock. He is survived by: his spouse Biddy Anne Keeney Whitlock; his children, Chris Whitlock (Dana) of Pawleys Island, David Whitlock (Christy) of Pawleys Island and Nancy Murrell (Chris) of Pawleys Island; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Mullen (Will) of Johns Island, John Daniel Whitlock of Charleston, Wesley Whitlock of Charleston, Caroline Whitlock of Asheville and Cooper Anne Whitlock of Charleston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (2918 Highmarket St, Georgetown, SC 29440). A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens (5233 Rocky Fork Rd, Cross Lanes, WV 25313).
