It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathy Blake (Georgetown, South Carolina), born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrill Jonathan Matter and Emma Lou Baxley Matter; her siblings, Amanda Taylor and Tommy Matter; and her nephew Jonathan Thomas "Deuce" Matter, II.
She is survived by: her husband John Wesley Blake; her children, Mary Katherine Syler (Dustin) of Andrews and Archie Wylie Blake (Crystal) of Andrews; her grandchildren, Allie Leatherwood (Dylan), Joseph Blake, Noah Blake, Lillie Blake, Jackson Syler and Tyson Syler; her sister Marilyn Lambert of Andrews; her nieces, Jessica Cribb (Steve Batterton) and Emily Taylor; and her nephew Jonathan Lambert (Mary Anne).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (2918 Highmarket St, Georgetown, SC 29440).
