It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Skipper of Georgetown, South Carolina, born in Jamestown, South Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Rev. Thomas Edward Skipper; her parents, David Calvin Johnson and Lillian Odessa McConnell Johnson; her daughter-in-law Lee Ellen Skipper; and her siblings, Minnie Jean Johnson, Mary Alice Crawford, Jeanette "Jane" Crawford and Elwood Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Michael E. Skipper of Georgetown, Cathy Joyce Skipper of Andrews and T. Kevin Skipper (Charlotte) of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Elijah and Jillian Metherd of Georgetown; her great grandchild Alexander Metherd of Georgetown; and her brother-in-law B. F. "Junior" Crawford of Alvin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
