With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Gunter of Georgetown, South Carolina, who passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marvin Jayroe and Constance Jayroe (Finklea). She is survived by: her husband William D. Gunter; her children, William D. Gunter, Jr. (Paula) of Georgetown and Connie Gunter Spahr (Doug) of Murrells Inlet; her grandchildren, Gavin, Ryan, Tyler Spahr, Caitlin Spahr Handley and Zachary Gunter; and her great grandchildren, Meredith Spahr, Bishop Handley and Gavin Spahr, II.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Georgetown, 219 Cleland St., Georgetown, SC 29440.
