George Varn Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Varn (Georgetown, South Carolina), born in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2024 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Varn to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend George Holland Varn and Nell Wilson Varn; and his sister-in-law Nancy Kinder Varn. He is survived by: his wife Sue Bentley Varn; his children, Mark H. Varn (Amanda) of Mt. Pleasant, Eric B. Varn (Kate) of Pawleys Island and Sharon L. Groat (Geoff) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Scott Varn, Logan Varn, William Varn, Katherine Varn, Eliza Groat and Suzanne Groat; and his brothers, David W. Varn of North Augusta and William B. (Billy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
