It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Ray Mitchem (Georgetown, South Carolina), born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ransom Mitchem and Lizzie Duncan Mitchem; his daughter Denise Mitchem; and his siblings, Paul Mitchem, Billy Mitchem, J. C. Mitchem, Kat Burnett, Lorraine Parker and Ruby Blackwell.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Mitchem; his children, Bruce Abbott (Sherrelle), Lyn Barber (Mandy), Austin Mitchem (Taylor), Jody Mitchem, Jennifer Barber and Cindy Watson (Allen); and his brother Johnny Mitchem. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
