She is survived by: her children, Derrick Phifer Payne of Andrews and Patrice Payne Hooper of Charleston; her grandchildren, Zach and Lauren Anne Hooper; her great grandchildren, Carolyn and Hayden Hooper; and her siblings, Gwendolyn B. Ward (Norris), Rebecca B. Smith, Sonya B. McConnell, Thomas "Tommy" Barrineau (Susan), Hazeline B. Morris, Bronte B. Scott and LaJean B. Owens Kinder.
