She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert C. Platt and Bee Flegel Platt. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Royal; her son Jeremy Hickman; her brothers, Hubie Platt (Cindy) and Allen Platt (Anna); and her granddaughters, Ruby and Hazel Hickman.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Church (920 Earle Rd, Andrews, SC 29510).
