It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winston Roosevelt Miles Sr. of Gaston, South Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse M. Miles and Cline Coogler Miles; and his siblings, Ruby Hornsby, Manuel Miles and Paul Miles.

He is survived by: his children, Lenora (Whitaker), Miles (Harold) and Winston R. Miles, Jr. (Barbie); his sisters, Annie Coward, Janie Sharpe (Jack) and Sandra Tucker; and his grandchildren, Candace Clarkson (Lucas), Taylor Whitaker (Michael), Amber Crolley (Justin), Madason Whitaker (Kam), Gracyn Whitaker (Austin), Sara Whitaker and Brantley Miles (Lexi). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
