It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Lavon Bowen (Gaston, South Carolina), who passed away on November 26, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Jesse McCumbee; and her husband Claude Harwell "Bud" Bowen. She is survived by: her parent Sara Robinson McCumbee; her child Claude H. Bowen, Jr.; her sister Norma Threat of Belmont; her grandchildren, David Bowen, Kelsey Hill, Bradley Bowen (Luvina), Jeremy Bowen (Amanda) and Reagan Nunley (Travis); and her great grandchildren, Kinsey, Wyatt, Liliana, Gracie, Mallory and Joseph.
