She was predeceased by: her sister Celeste Smetana. She is survived by: her parent Rev. M. Douglas Newman; her children, S. Michelle Gabbard (Tony), Amy Joelle Jackson (Bud) and Raymond W. S. Crosby (Stephanie); her grandsons, Jay Fisher (Rachel), Austin Burdette (Alex), Dalton Fallaw (Shea) and Reuben Crosby; her brothers, Doug Newman (Sandy) and Mark Newman (Susan); her close friend Jerry Harvell; and her pet Shiloh. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
