With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth A. Metcalf of Gaston, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2020 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest W. Brazell and Annie Mae Brazell; and her husband Jimmy L. Metcalf. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy W. Metcalf, Rita A. Showalter, Angela M. Maxwell, Mona L. Cerda (Miquel), Christopher J. Metcalf and Ashley V. Akers-Corley (Jamie); and her brother James Brazell. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
