With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Garfield Tillison Sr. of Gaston, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2025 at the age of 62. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Tammy Bolin Tillison; his sons, Robert Garfield Tillison, Jr. (Charmen) and Ethan Drew Tillison (Shannon); his grandchildren, Christian Kirt Dangin and Jayce Wayne Tillison; his siblings, Bennett Tillison, Sue Smyly (Christopher "Chris") and Britta Carver (Steve); his parents, Claridge DeNell "C. D." Tillison and Virginia Spicer Tillison; his parents-in-law, Johnny Randolph Bolin, Jr. and Shirley McCollum Bolin; and his brothers-in-law, Johnny R. Bolin, III (Teresa Evelyn "Teri") and William Kevin Bolin (Penny). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews as well as many cousins, and aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
