She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie R. Sturkie and Mary Mae Howell Sturkie; her husband Carroll Gantt; her stepson Ansel Gantt; and her brothers, Marion Sturkie and Hugo Sturkie.
She is survived by: her sister Bertha Mae Hutto. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
