He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dowd and Annie Vera Sightler Dowd; his wife Annie Davis Dowd; and his siblings, Eloise Moorer, Dorothy Williamson, Eddie and Wilbur Dowd.

He is survived by: his children, Jackie Greene (Ronald) and Wayne Glenn (June); his stepchildren, Brenda Boone (Steve), Betty Williamson (Ricky), Rose Davis, Patsy Boone (Larry), Brenda Berry (Melvin), Alvin Davis (Tina), Denny Davis and Kenny Davis (Sharon); and his sister Barbara Backman. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren.
