He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Wayne Smith of Gaston, SC. and Dena Gail Smith; and his grandparents, Clarence, Janie Davis, Cecil and Lena Smith.

He is survived by: his sister Delena Pate (Richard Pate); his nieces, Hannah Pate and Leiren Pate; his great-nephew Easton Pate; his close friends, Mike Swearingen and Nikki Hamlin; and also, Kourtlynn and Carrigan Hamlin. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Flowers and donations are welcomed by the family.
