It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bennie Faye Sturkie of Gaston, South Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Senn and Genelle Hyman; her brothers, Larry Gardner (Jackie) and Johnny Gardner (Kathy); and her children, Arthur W. Sturkie Jr., Karen L. Sturkie and Melissa G. Sturkie.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur W. Sturkie Sr.; her daughter Doris G. Horsley; her grandchildren, Ashley Hayden (Chad), Amber Buckley (Jason), Arthur W. Sturkie III, Kristina Belger (Mark), Courtney Day (Shane), DJ Horsley, Jennifer Sturkie, Cody Sturkie (Kaitlyn) and Dalton Sturkie (Taylor); and her great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Aaliyah, Paige, Kaitee, Aurora, Liam, Layla, Alex, Callie and Mia.
