He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Latrelle Davis; his parents, Charles Emory Davis, Sr. and Lucille Moore Davis; and his brother Fred S. Davis. He is survived by: his children, Charles E. Davis, III and Frances Davis. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
